This spice blend is the base of many Indian dishes.
Directions: For best flavor, toast all of the spices except nutmeg in a dry skillet (no oil) on low heat. Stir until fragrant, then remove from heat and grind in mortar and pestle or coffee grinder. Then grate 1 tsp nutmeg into the ground spices (you will have nutmeg leftover).
